FireBricks are used to make good breaches in walls of fire compartments. They allow pipes and cables etc to be routed through the aperture. They are especially useful where an aperture is likely to have additional service penetrations in the future because they can be dismantled and re-used. They are also helpful on large sites where fire-stopping may be required at short notice - the modular system being particularly flexible towards this end.

Each FireBrick measures 300 x 150 x 50mm, is lightweight and highly inert to moisture and damp. FireBricks are manufactured from resin-bonded high density mineral fibreboard and coated on all faces with a specialised intumescent compound. They can easily be cut with conventional tools for a snug fit.

Independently tested to BS 476: Part 20 to give up to 2 hours fire resistance.
